Tiger Woods raised the ante at the 12th Annual Tiger Jam charity event at the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas. Plenty of celebrities were in attendance including P.Diddy, No Doubt, Gabrielle Union, Alonzo Mourning, Ben Roethlisberger, Dwyane Wade, Marcus Allen, Adrian Peterson, Natalie Gulbis, and Fred Couples. Couples and Woods hosted a golf session for the VIPs at the Cascada golf course the day prior, but the auction was the big show. Poker star Phil Ivey made it rain by pushing the auction proceeds over the $1 million mark with his bids that totaled about $200,000; they included $27,500 for NCAA Men’s Final Four tickets in Indianapolis, $50,000 for a private golf lesson with Tiger and the right to play in the Chevron World Challenge PGA Tour, and $70,000 for red carpet access at the 2010 Grammy Awards. Tiger had this to say about the event, “It’s all about how anything is possible in changing kids’ lives for the better and caring about them. When I was a little boy, I kept a little clipping of Jack Nicklaus and said I wanted to be like him. It inspired me, and now we’re able to inspire millions of kids, too. We’ve helped 10 million kids live better lives.”

Former NBA player Brian Grant revealed on Monday that he has been diagnosed with “young onset Parkinson’s” disease. Grant is up for the challenge and told ESPN.com that he has started both traditional and non-traditional treatments to help the symptoms. He said, “Just me believing in a positive spirit will take me farther in the long run.”

In a recent interview Reggie Bush’s woman, Kim Kardashian, who has launched a new fitness DVD series admitted that she has a love/hate relationship with ‘dat ass. “I’ve really had to tone up, this has taught me so many tricks. I partnered with a trainer, Jennifer Galardi, I’m not an expert so I wanted to learn. I need help like everyone else. It’s been a great challenge for me. (Reggie) was there thru the whole process too. We incorporate little things in our workout to do together.” Good old Reggie; always right behind her.

The media obviously loves this one. Pittsburgh Steeler and the NFL’s Defensive Player of the Year last year James Harrison has stated he will skip the Super Bowl team’s visit to the White House Thursday to meet President Barack Obama. Harrison told a Pittsburgh radio station, “I don’t feel the need to go, actually. I don’t feel like it’s that big a deal to me.” “He [Obama] would have invited Arizona.” We tend to agree, dude’s probably got better things to do; like beat his girlfriend (Harrison was arrested in 2008 for assault regarding an altercation with his girlfriend).

Former NFL player Todd Marinovich was seen leaving an Orange County courthouse yesterday regarding his probation, which stems from a 2007 incident where he was arrested for possession of meth and a hypodermic needle as well as resisting arrest. Marinovich has quite the record; cocaine possession in 1991 while at USC, possession and suspicion of growing the ghanj in 1997, 2000 arrest for sexual assault, 2001 arrested for suspicion of heroin use, arrested in Newport Beach in 2005 for drug paraphernalia (told police his occupation was “anarchist”), along with his most recent meth arrest in 2007.  Worst part of all of this is that the “anarchist” has reproduced; Marinovich was seen leaving court yesterday with a very pregnant wife.

Rumor has it that Gisele Bundchen is quite the psycho when it comes to other chicks talking to her husband New England Patriot Tommy Brady. At the SVEDKA Vodka’s Spring Fling Event earlier this month in New York City a female fan asked to take a picture with the Stetson model and was rudely denied by Gisele. Her words, “Tom doesn’t really like to take pictures.” (Only if it’s for a broke ass cologne ad). A party attendee said, “She wouldn’t let him out of her sight.
